CLINTON, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a 64-year-old Annandale man has died after he was struck by an SUV while crossing the street.

Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony Kearns said that Arthur Moore was struck in Clinton around 10:20 p.m. by a Toyota Highlander driven by a 36-year-old Pennsylvania man.

Clinton police say the victim was not near a crosswalk and was wearing dark clothing. They say that lighting and visibility was poor due to weather conditions and that drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor.

Kearns says the incident remains under investigation.
