BRATTLEBORO, Vt. (AP) - Police in Brattleboro, Vermont, are investigating a crash that left a pedestrian with serious injuries.

Authorities say the pedestrian was hit by a car just before 5 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Canal Street and Belmont Avenue. The victim is being treated at Dartmouth Hitchcock medical center, and the road was closed for about 10 hours.

Police are not releasing the names of the victim or driver as the investigation continues.
