ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) - Police have arrested a man they believe is responsible for stealing at least 40 packages from the front doorsteps of homes in Arlington.

Arlington County police say undercover officers were patrolling the Ballston area in response to reports of package thefts when they saw a man acting suspiciously. Police say they then saw the man opening packages he plucked from doorsteps and stealing their contents.

Police arrested the man, identified as 22-year-old Keith Moore, of Prince George’s County and the District of Columbia. He’s charged with grand larceny, credit card theft and fraud. He was denied bond, and it’s unclear whether he has an attorney.

Police say they believe Moore has stolen at least 40 packages over the last several months.
