TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - The congregation of a Tucson church still recovering from a fire last year will be having Christmas Eve services under the stars.
The Arizona Daily Star reports (https://bit.ly/1CIN97x) that members of University City Church will hold a service at 5 p.m. in the church parking lot.
The 400-member congregation has been having services at several locations around the city since an electrical fire damaged the church’s attic in November 2013.
Church officials say the building is currently undergoing an $8 million renovation that is slated to be finished in February.
Lead pastor Andy Tracy says the service will be simple and done with some music.
The nondenominational church is primarily made up of families and University of Arizona students.
