HASTINGS, Neb. (AP) - A local animal shelter has put up a reward for information after the carcasses of three missing dogs were found near railroad tracks in Hastings.

Start Over Rover says there’s no evidence that there’s any foul play involved, but “it does seem suspicious that these three animals from two different homes in different areas around town find their way to the same spot on the railroad tracks and are all hit by a train.” The carcasses were found on Tuesday.

The $1,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of whoever is behind the dogs’ deaths.
