NASHUA, N.H. (AP) - A former court security officer has been sentenced to at least 10 years in prison after admitting he sexually assaulted a young girl over the course of four years.

The Nashua Telegraph (https://bit.ly/1vsbPwf ) reports that 73-year-old David Morse of Merrimack pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault in exchange for serving two, 10-to-40 year terms in state prison.

Until his arrest on July 21, Morse was a court security officer at Superior Court South in Nashua for 12 years. He was placed on leave when he became the subject of an investigation and was fired after his arrest.

Morse must also register for life as a sex offender.

Police say he abused the girl between November 2010, when she was 6, and July of this year.
