ATLANTA (AP) - A team of researchers from Georgia Tech plans a wide-ranging study of immigrants in one metro Atlanta community.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports (https://on-ajc.com/1xgyLSd ) that the Norcross City Council has approved the arrangement with Georgia Tech’s School of City and Regional Planning.

The study will focus on civic engagement, economic development and small business growth among the area’s Latino and Asian communities. Researchers plans to issue a report that includes recommendations for continued integration of immigrants within the city.

The school plans to spend $10,000 on the effort. It has requested $15,000 from the city and other local sources.
