LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - The Catholic Action Center in Lexington made sure the less fortunate started Christmas Day with a full stomach.

According to WKYT-TV (https://bit.ly/141JzKa), about 100 people showed up Thursday morning for a free breakfast at the center.

Twan Brown was among those who came to the center. He says he appreciated the food because he’s homeless and unemployed.

“That’s the best part of the day, coming here, seeing my friends, talking to them, saying, ‘Merry Christmas,’” Brown said.

A church group from Mary, Queen of the Holy Rosary provided food for the meals and the volunteers.

The group serves a meal on the fourth Sunday of every month at the Catholic Action Center.
