EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say a 53-year-old man was killed when he lost control of his SUV on a snowy road in East Lansing and crashed into some trees.

Police say the crash happened about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. They say the victim lived in Clinton County’s Bath Township. The department wasn’t yet releasing his name Thursday afternoon.

The National Weather Service says that snow was falling and a mist was setting in at the time of the crash, with the temperature just above freezing.
