BALTIMORE (AP) - Police in Baltimore are investigating a fatal stabbing that happened early Christmas morning.

Police say officers were called to the 3800 block of S. Hanover Street around 2 a.m. Thursday to investigate a person lying in the street. When officers arrived they found an adult male with at least one stab wound to the chest.

Police say the man was taken to a hospital where he later died from his injuries. Police did not release the man’s name or say anything about what may have led to the stabbing. Police say anyone with information should call 410-396-2100
