OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - An Oklahoma City-based climate control and chemical manufacturer will start the New Year with a new chief executive.

The Oklahoman reports (https://bit.ly/1wKigPp ) that LSB Industries Inc. CEO Jack E. Golsen will step down as chairman and CEO, effective Jan. 1. His son, Barry H. Golsen, will move into the top spot as part of a leadership transition plan approved by LSB’s board of directors. Barry Golsen had been the company’s president and chief operating officer.

Robert H. Henry, chairman of the board’s nominating and corporate governance committee, says Barry Golsen has developed a depth of knowledge and understanding of the company’s businesses through his 36 years with the company.

Barry Golsen says LSB has a range of initiatives underway and great prospects for growing and creating value for its shareholders.
