FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) - Fort Wayne police say the driver of a pickup truck that crashed on Interstate 69 and a motorist who stopped to help were seriously injured when another vehicle spun out of control and struck them.

Police tell The Journal Gazette (https://bit.ly/1zmIO6r ) the accident occurred on I-69 southbound about 7:45 a.m.

Police say both people who were struck by the Jeep are in serious condition. The driver of the Jeep was not injured.

I-69 was down to one lane of southbound traffic during the investigation, but all lanes were reopened at 9:50 a.m.

Police are still investigating.
