PHOENIX (AP) - Sophia is still the reigning champ this year when it comes to girls’ names in Arizona while Noah rose to the top spot among baby boys.

The Arizona Department of Health Services released its yearly list of most popular baby names Friday.

Sophia was number one among girls for a fourth consecutive year. Emma came in at number two and the name Victoria moved into the top 10.

Last year’s top choice for boys, Liam, dropped to second place. The names Sebastian and Elijah made it into the top 10 this year.

The department’s list is compiled from birth certificates filed with the department’s Office of Vital Records.

Officials say more than 42,000 boys and more than 40,000 girls have been born in Arizona so far this year.
