YUMA, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities have identified a body found floating in the Colorado River two months ago as a Yuma woman.

Yuma County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Alfonso Zavala says a medical examiner identified the body discovered Oct. 15 as 29-year-old Stephanie Fedorka.

A previous autopsy done by the Pima County Medical Examiner, which identified the body, showed Fedorka died from a single gunshot wound to the chest.

Zavala says Fedorka’s body may have been in the water for three to five days. She was found wearing blue jeans and an orange tank top.

Zavala says no one had reported Fedorka missing.

Sheriff’s officials say the case remains under investigation.
