LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - State police say a Little Rock woman died when she tried to cross three lanes of Interstate 30 traffic.

A report from the agency said a Benton woman was driving west on I-30 in Little Rock on Christmas night when she struck 24-year-old Sara Espinoza.

Espinoza was later pronounced dead at a Little Rock hospital.

Seamon was not injured in the accident, which occurred an hour after sunset Thursday west of 65th Street.

The highway death was the state’s 457th of the year.

It wasn’t clear why Espinoza was trying to cross the roadway.
