CANDOR, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say one man is dead and another is charged with manslaughter after an incident inside an upstate New York bar on Christmas Eve.

The Tioga (tee-OH’-guh) County Sheriff’s Office tells local media that there was a disturbance around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday at Punk’s Place Bar in the rural town of Candor, 25 miles northwest of Binghamton.

Deputies say 39-year-old Ronald A. Warner Jr. was arrested Christmas Day and charged with manslaughter for recklessly causing the death of a 56-year old man, whose name hasn’t been released.

Details of the incident haven’t been released by police. Deputies say more information is expected to be released Friday.

Warner Jr. is being held at the county jail on $125,000 cash bail. It couldn’t be determined if he has a lawyer.
