INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Authorities say a man wearing dark clothing walking in a traffic lane of Interstate 65 in Indianapolis in the dark was struck by two cars and killed.

State police have identified the victim as 37-year-old Ryan Miller of Indianapolis. Police say drivers had called police shortly after 2:10 a.m. Friday to report a man walking on traffic lanes on the interstate.

Police say before troopers could get to the scene two cars hit Miller, with one of the vehicles ending up in a ditch. Both drivers stopped and weren’t hurt.

Police say they don’t know why Miller was walking on the interstate. Investigators did not locate any disabled vehicles in the area.
