CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department says classes are underway for users of snowmobiles and off-highway recreational vehicles.

Riders age 12 and older must have either a valid driver’s license or have completed an approved safety class.

Also, all children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a licensed adult when operating a snowmobile or OHRV, unless they are on property belonging to their parents, grandparents or guardians.

There is no charge for the class, which certifies about 1,500 riders every year. Participants can pay a fee to take the course online.
