RUTLAND, Vt. (AP) - The National Weather Service says minor flooding is occurring in Vermont, and likely will continue throughout the day.

Flood stage is 8 feet for Otter Creek in central Rutland, and the water level reached 8.1 feet late Friday morning. Authorities say it will reach 8.2 feet by Friday afternoon, and will fall below flood stage after midnight.

Low lying portions of several roads in Clarendon, Pittsford and Rutland are expected to be affected.
