FLORENCE, Ariz. (AP) - The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for Pinal County and surrounding areas for Saturday morning.

That means temperatures will be at or below 32 degrees for several hours between the times of midnight and 9 a.m.

The Weather Service says a cold low pressure front will settle over the region through Saturday.

There also is a hard freeze warning for southern Pinal County during that same time period with expected temperatures at 28 degrees or below.

Authorities say residents should prepare to cover their outdoor piping, cover outdoor plants and bring in pets due to hypothermia concerns.

Drivers should also travel with caution due to the possibility of ice on the roadways, especially when driving over bridges.
