CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (AP) - Police in Central Falls have charged a man with obstruction while investigating the death of another man.

Thirty-three-year-old Ken Emuakpor told The Providence Journal (https://bit.ly/1HNXIaf ) that he was detained Thursday night into early Friday morning, after he called police to report finding the victim bleeding at the back door of his apartment.

Emuakpor says he was summoned to appear in Providence District Court on Jan. 21 in response to the obstruction charge.

Police identified the victim as 41-year-old Cheikh Diop of Providence. He was found with a deep cut on his head. Autopsy results are pending.

No other arrests have been announced.

It’s not clear why Emuakpor was arrested. He told the Journal that he drank heavily on Christmas Day and doesn’t remember anything that happened before he found Diop.
