NEW ORLEANS (AP) - New Orleans police say a skeleton found in April in an elevator shaft was that of a 25-year-old who had been missing more than a year.
Officer Frank Robertson III says the death of 25-year-old Jesse Taylor IV has been classified as murder, because Louisiana State University’ forensic anthropology lab found evidence of trauma to the body.
He says in a news release that Taylor’s father reported him missing Sept. 3, 2013, saying he hadn’t seen his son for more than a month.
Contractors working on an abandoned building on South Claiborne Ave. found the bones April 24.
Police ask anyone with information that could help solve the killing to call Crimestoppers at 822-1111 or 877-903-STOP, or send a tip online via www.crimestoppersgno.org .
