WOONSOCKET, R.I. (AP) - Woonsocket police say they have a suspect in custody after two people were stabbed.

Police Detective Sgt. Matt Ryan says the victims were stabbed shortly after 2 p.m. Friday in the area of Bourdon Boulevard and Memorial Drive.

Both victims are being treated at hospitals. Their names and conditions haven’t been released.

Ryan says investigators are having a difficult time trying to get the victims to cooperate with police.

Authorities say a suspect is in custody, but that person’s name and whether any charges have been filed have not been disclosed.
