SWANSBORO, N.C. (AP) - The Town of Swansboro is looking to fill five openings in its government after two more people submitted their resignations.

Area media outlets report Mayor Scott Chadwick said town manager Dave Harvell and public safety director Bob Ritchie submitted letters of resignation on Monday.

Within the last 10 days the town has also accepted the resignations of Town Planner Jennifer Holland, who is taking a job with the Onslow County planning department, and Town Clerk and Administrative Services Director Paula Webb, who will be taking a job in Carteret County.

Deputy Fire Chief Art Taylor announced his resignation three weeks ago. His last day is Wednesday.

Harvell recommended that the board hold a work session when Commissioner John Lister returns after Jan. 3 to address the transition.
