LOS ANGELES (AP) - A small earthquake has rattled Los Angeles, but there are no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
The U.S. Geological Survey says the magnitude-3.9 quake struck off the coast at 3:26 p.m. Tuesday, about 12 miles south of San Pedro.
Residents described feeling a jolt and hearing windows and furniture rattle and items on the walls shake.
The quake was felt throughout the South Bay and as far north as Venice.
A police dispatcher says there are no initial reports of damage or injuries.
