HONOLULU (AP) - The Honolulu City Council will inaugurate new members this week.

Hawaii Supreme Court Associate Justice Sabrina McKenna is scheduled to administer the oath of office on Friday.

Entertainer Danny Kaleikini and the Royal Hawaiian Band Glee Club will perform at a ceremony in the council chamber.

Council Chairman Ernest Martin says members look forward to welcoming newly elected council members as well as those who are returning for another term.

North Shore voters re-elected Martin to the council.



Carol Fukunaga was re-elected to represent Makiki and Kalihi in November’s election. Trevor Ozawa narrowly defeated Tommy Waters to represent east Honolulu.

Brandon Elefante was elected to serve Aiea and Waipahu.
