TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) - Police in northwest Ohio say skeletal remains believed to be those of a Michigan man reported missing were found in an empty grain storage facility in rural Putnam County.
Investigators believe they’ve found 52-year-old Brian Martin of Ypsilanti (ihp-sih-LAN’-tee), who was reported missing in late June. The Blade in Toledo (https://bit.ly/1tRi8aT ) reports autopsy and DNA test results are pending.
A Toledo couple suspected of bludgeoning Martin to death were charged months ago after police found evidence at their home indicating he was attacked there.
Attorneys for defendants Desirae and Robert Strauss say they’ve reached tentative plea agreements with prosecutors in the pending cases. An attorney for Desirae Strauss says the remains were found after someone provided new information to prosecutors, but he wouldn’t say whether his client was that person.
