THOMSON, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say four people have died in a crash on an east Georgia highway and a 15-year-old boy was the only passenger to survive the wreck.

Georgia State Patrol Sgt. Chris Wright tells the Augusta Chronicle (https://bit.ly/1yIIGBH ) a Lexus crossed the center line of Augusta Highway at a high rate of speed Sunday afternoon and hit a Toyota head-on.

Deputy Coroner Sandra Yelton says 33-year-old Sedrick Lamont Wright of Thomson was driving the Lexus and was killed in the crash.

Yelton says his passengers, 36-year-old Marcus Thomas and 36-year-old Sylvester Sims Jr. also both of Thomson also died.

Authorities say the driver of the Toyota, 39-year-old Shaquetta Barnes of Hephzibah, was also killed and her 15-year-old son was the only survivor.
