STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - People in Steamboat Springs are once again hunting for a yule log hidden somewhere in the Colorado mountain town.

The 35th annual hunt began Monday at the site where the log was found last year - the entrance to the Brent Romick Rodeo Arena. Scavenger hunters will get a new clue each day for 10 days to help them track down the 3-foot log, which has the words “YULE LOG” printed on it.

The Steamboat Pilot (https://bit.ly/1ucA2Fe) reports that the clues read on radio stations and published in the newspaper often include information that refers to community history or past events.

Whoever finds the log first gets $150 gift certificate from the Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association.
