CANON CITY, Colo. (AP) - Canon City Police say they have reviewed the case of an officer shooting over the weekend and cleared the officer of wrongdoing.

The shooting happened when Corporal Andrew Sanders responded to an armed robbery Saturday at a pawn shop. Police say the suspect stabbed Sanders below the left armpit with a 3-inch knife blade. Sanders then shot 32-year-old Hudson Clark five times.

Clark survived and is expected to recover. The Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1vxWSaI ) that Clark faces charges including attempted murder of a police officer and is being held in the Fremont County jail on a $100,000 bond.
