LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The Arkansas Court of Appeals has rejected a request for a new trial for a man convicted of second-degree murder.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported Monday (https://bit.ly/1ASYIYU ) that the court rejected the appeal of 28-year-old A.J. Cody.

Cody had argued that the prosecutor in his trail acted inappropriately.

Cody was convicted of second-degree murder and sentenced to 20 years in prison for the May 2012 shooting death of 65-year-old Lee Britton at Britton’s home in London.
