ST. LOUIS (AP) - A pair of former U.S. senators will discuss the role of religion in American politics at a Washington University lecture in St. Louis.
The Tuesday evening lecture at the John C. Danforth Center on Religion and Politics features Joe Lieberman, a former senator from Connecticut and Democratic vice presidential candidate who is an Orthodox Jew.
Lieberman will be joined by Danforth, an ordained Episcopal priest who represented Missouri in the U.S. Senate for 18 years.
The Graham Chapel event begins at 7:30 and is free and open to the public.
