PHILADELPHIA (AP) - A firefighter was injured and eight neighbors were forced from their homes as fire ripped through a vacant Philadelphia apartment building.

The three-story building in the city’s Frankford section burned for more than four hours early Monday. Part of its roof collapsed.

Neighbors were moved to SEPTA buses to keep warm.

The firefighter was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital with what officials described as a minor injury. No other injuries were reported.

Firefighters say they responded to a fire at the same building a week ago.
