MINOT, Maine (AP) - Investigators say speed and road conditions appear to have contributed to a fatal crash in Minot.

State police say 19-year-old Marcus Bennett of Lewiston was traveling east on Center Minot Hill Road Sunday morning when he lost control of his car on a curve and slid into the path of a car that was headed in the opposite direction.

Bennett was pronounced dead at Maine Medical Center.

Police say the driver of the other car, 51-year-old Donna Wallace of Minot, and a passenger in her car were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Investigators say the road was icy at the time of the crash.
