PRINCESS ANNE, Md. (AP) - Devin Martin put up 27 points and pulled down 12 rebounds to lead Maryland-Eastern Shore to a 69-58 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference battle with North Carolina A&T; Monday night.

Bouncing back from a tough loss to North Carolina Central in their opener, the Hawks (4-7, 1-1) won for the third time in four games.

Martin was an efficient 5 of 9 from the field, knocking down 4 of 8 from behind the arc, and was particularly effective on the boards and from the free throw line, where he converted 13 of 16 attempts. Devon Walker added 14 points, hitting 4 of 9 from distance, and Mike Myers added 12 points.

North Carolina A&T; (1-9, 0-2) built an eight-point lead at halftime, but went cold from the field in the second, where the Hawks outscored the Aggies by 19.

Bruce Beckford scored 14 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the Aggies.
