PHOENIX (AP) - Officials say an automated inter-terminal train at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport will now provide service to another terminal.

Mayor Greg Stanton and Phoenix City Council members will mark the opening Monday morning of the Terminal 3 Station stop for the PHX Sky Train.

The driverless train currently connects passengers between Terminal 4, an airport parking lot and a Metro light-rail station stop.

The new extension includes service to Terminal 3 with a covered walkway to Terminal 2.

The train runs seven days a week and is free.

In the final phase of the $1.5 billion project, the train will also connect to the airport’s rental car center.
