SAN ANTONIO (AP) - An officer has fatally shot an armed suspect in a San Antonio double slaying after authorities located him at a motel.

The Bexar (bayr) County Sheriff’s Office says an officer opened fire Monday as the suspect reached for a gun.

Spokesman James Keith didn’t immediately confirm the name of the man who was fatally shot, but says authorities believe he was the subject of the capital murder warrant. No officers were injured.

San Antonio police earlier Monday issued the warrant for 41-year-old Christopher Doss. Investigators want to know if he dated the female victim.

Doss was sought in Sunday afternoon’s fatal shooting of a woman and her current boyfriend. Her dog was also killed in the gunfire near an SUV.
