HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) - Police say remains found in Rockingham County in October are those of a missing Page County woman.

Page County Sheriff’s Capt. C.S. Cook tells media outlets that the cause of 51-year-old Joy Schultz’s death hasn’t been determined.

Schulz was last seen Sept. 6. Her remains were found at the end of a road about 100 yards inside the Shenandoah National Park boundary.

Police have charged Schultz’s stepson, 23-year-old George Z. Schuppan, with first-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of murder. Her husband, 54-year-old George Harold Schultz, is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Both men are being held in the Page County Jail.

A memorial service for Joy Schultz is scheduled Saturday at Bradley Funeral Home in Luray.
