MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - Vermont Secretary of State Jim Condos is going to serve on the Council of State Governments’ policy committee to review overseas and military voter initiatives.

The council is a national, nonpartisan, non-profit that works within all three branches of government.

Condos says guaranteeing the constitutionally protected right to vote for military members and other overseas voters has been a concern of his.

He says he’s worked to improve such processes in Vermont, but sometimes it is more appropriate to make those changes at the national level.
