CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) - A building that was featured in the major motion picture “Gone Girl” has been vandalized.

The Southeast Missourian (https://bit.ly/1qftGcC ) reports that the Cape Girardeau Police Department responded to a call about a window that was broken in Friday at The Bar. Formerly a catering business, the corner site was transformed for the film production of “Gone Girl.” In the adaptation of Gillian Flynn’s best-selling novel, Ben Affleck stars as a husband under the suspicious glare of the media and the scrutiny of the police when his wife goes missing.

After the vandalism, a 19-year-old suspect was arrested and released on a summons for property damage and possession of a controlled substance. Police say the suspect threw a bucket through a window, but the window was repaired by Saturday.
