INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Police say a stolen minivan was used to smash in the front entrance of an Indianapolis gun shop as several people tried to steal weapons.

Officers were called about 1 a.m. Monday to the L.E. Firearms store in a neighborhood on the city’s south side, where the van had been driven over the sidewalk and into the entrance.

Police say an 18-year-old man and four juveniles were arrested nearby without incident. Officers reported finding two guns possibly stolen from the store inside a vehicle with four of those arrested and another gun in a yard.

Those arrested face preliminary charges of burglary and theft.
