TROY, Mich. (AP) - A shopping mall in suburban Detroit has invited pet owners to bring their four-legged family members in for a photo with Santa Claus.

About 20 dogs and cats visited the Oakland Mall in Troy for the two-hour weekend event called Pet Photos with Santa. Mika Kleyneer of Clinton Township told the Detroit Free Press (https://on.freep.com/1wTzJ94 ) she was excited to use the photo her cats, Benji and Jax, took with Santa as this year’s Christmas card.

But not all of the pets were able to contain their excitement long enough for a photo. Kelly Maisel of Madison Heights had to leave the mall empty handed because her 2-year-old Siberian Husky, Eli, could not sit still.
