KATY, Texas (AP) - Hundreds of Houston-area residents have gathered to remember the lives of two teenagers who were killed when a truck carrying more than a dozen students flipped on a dirt road.

The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office says 17-year-old Trent Weber and 16-year-old Terra Kubala died when they were thrown from the bed of the pickup truck on Saturday night. Separate vigils for the Katy teens were held Sunday night at area schools.

Deputies say the teen driver and four other teenagers suffered significant but non-life-threatening injuries when the truck rolled several times on the way to a bonfire site. They say at least five teenagers were in the cab of the truck and as many as 10 were in the bed.

No charges have been reported. Deputies are investigating.
