CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - West Virginia businesses will hold an expo for the identification intelligence industry this week in Washington, D.C.

The seventh annual Identification and Intelligence Seminar and Expo is scheduled for Tuesday at The Washington Court Hotel.

U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin says the event provides an opportunity for executives in cyber security, forensics, biometrics and big data to explore business partnerships, research synergies and investment opportunities in West Virginia.

Participating West Virginia companies include Azimuth, Allegheny Science & Technology, CrossResolve, Ideal Innovations, Lakota Software Solutions, Parabon and Tygart Technology, along with Marshall University and West Virginia University’s research institutions.
