LYSANDER, N.Y. (AP) - Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash on a central New York road that has left one person with life-threatening injuries and two others in critical condition.

The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office says a 30-year-old woman was traveling north on Cold Springs road around 6 p.m. Monday when she crossed into oncoming traffic and slammed into a minivan in her hometown of Lysander, 10 miles northwest of Syracuse.

The impact demolished the car and caused extensive damage to the van.

The woman driving the car was taken to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, where she’s listed in critical condition. Police say she has been charged with driving while intoxicated.

A man, his age not immediately available, and a 49-year-old woman in the van were taken to the same hospital. She was treated and releases while he’s in stable condition.
