MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (AP) - Berkeley County sheriff’s deputies are investigating three slayings in the county in the past week.

Area media outlets report 24-year-old Syqoune Kwame Pinckney was found shot to death in a house near Ladson on Dec. 2. On Friday night, 24-year-old Cordell Frazier was found shot in his apartment in Goose Creek. He died later at a local hospital.

Sheriff’s spokesman Dan Moon tells The Post and Courier of Charleston it’s a coincidence that two 24-year-olds were found shot days apart. Deputies do not think there is a link between the slayings.

Forty-six-year-old Michael Haynes of Ridgeville was found stabbed to death at a nightclub in Ridgeville early Sunday.

No arrests have been made in any of the cases.
