He has been called on to provide advice and counsel on areas as disparate as pilot vehicle interface engineering, business development, new business capture, and international and government relations. He has recent and extensive experience on active duty in the Air Education and Training Command and has had assignments at NATO Headquarters and on the staff of the Deputy Under Secretary of the Air Force for International Affairs. Upon his retirement from the Air Force, General Petersen began his civilian career as a consultant in the defense industry.
