CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - The accreditation of The Citadel has been renewed for another 10 years by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

The military college in Charleston announced Tuesday that the renewal came with no recommendations for improvements or further action required by the college.

The accreditation culminates three years of self-study by The Citadel. A team from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools visited campus last spring to meet with faculty, administrators and students.

Part of the reaccreditation process focused on an evaluation of the college’s Ethics in Action program that includes yearly ethics courses and additional training for students.
