EAST WENATCHEE, Wash. (AP) - A 50-year-old East Wenatchee man was struck and killed Monday on Highway 28.

The Washington State Patrol says his car had stopped on the shoulder near East Wenatchee and he was fatally injured when he got out in the path of a semi-truck.

Trooper Darren Wright tells radio station KPQ the man deliberately stepped into the truck’s path.
