PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - The FBI is offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to the prosecution of the person who kidnapped a man from his driveway in Barrington, Rhode Island, and let him go a few hours later in Western Massachusetts.

The kidnapping happened on June 30 around 7:30 a.m. Authorities say the unidentified suspect was wearing a bandanna over his face and was armed with a semi-automatic handgun when he forced the victim to drive him nearly three hours into Western Massachusetts.

The suspect told the man to pull over on Interstate 90 just before Lee, Massachusetts. The suspect then got out of the car and ran into the woods.

The FBI, Rhode Island State Police and Barrington Police are asking anyone with information about the suspect to come forward.
